Mathachan is the eldest son of Ulahannan (John) and Thresiakutty of the Aayiramekkar branch. He married Valsa, daughter of Kurian & Rosamma Vettuparackal, Nagapuzha. He owns a farm and does the work there. They have a son named Vimal. He is studying at 12th.
